Gen 3 Portals are Geared for All More power. Bigger tires. Greater ground clearance. These are just a few of the benefits you get when you install SuperATV’s GDP 4” Portal Gear Lift on your Polaris General. No matter what kind of riding you’re into, we’ve got the portals for you. A 30% gear reduction lets you go all out with maximum torque and bigger tires, and a 15% gear reduction is perfect for agile trail riding. So take your pick! You also get a say in what kind of housings are used on your portals—choose from cast or billet aluminum. No matter what you choose, GDP portals will completely overhaul your riding experience. GDP—the Most Trusted Name in Portals There’s a reason why more people are riding on GDP portals than any other brand. No matter which housings or gear reduction you go with, you can count on them being the best portals you can get. They’re durable, highly tested, and more proven than anything else on the market. Why wouldn’t you want these portals on your machine? Perfect for Mud If you’ve never tackled mud while riding on GDP portals, you’re seriously missing out. Our portals give you the clearance and torque needed to cut through the deepest, thickest bogs like butter without getting swamped. And the ability to run bigger mud tires is just the icing on the cake. A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain Portals put the gear reduction right in the hub, which is a literal lifesaver for some of your vehicle’s most critical components. Putting the reduction in the hub places less stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission, so you can ride harder than stock while causing less wear. Talk about a win-win situation! Learn more about how tire size and gear reduction can unleash your machine’s potential. Unmatched Gear Material We use the most premium, top-of-the-line gears in our portals because you deserve nothing less. They’re made from a strong 9310 alloy steel and are precision ground to mate perfectly each and every time. The strength and ingenuity of our gears give you a smooth, quiet ride, no matter how wild you get. Stronger Housings by Design You won’t find better portal housings than the ones on GDP portals—we promise. We’ve done the research, we’ve conducted the tests, and we’ve designed housings that are strong enough to keep up with any type of off-road lifestyle. Whether you go with cast or our USA-made 6061 billet aluminum with a sleek CNC-machined finish, you’re getting portal housings that offer unmatched strength and reliability.
  • Our housings are reinforced in all the right places
  • They’re built with better oil flow and gearing forces in mind
  • There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them
The Strongest Portal Backing Plates You Can Get We make our backing plates using an advanced steel alloy, and believe us when we say this isn’t your average steel. It’s specialized for ultra-high force applications, and is even stronger than chromoly. With this strength and a thickness of 5/16”, these backing plates are guaranteed to last. Advanced Gaskets and Seals Whether you go with cast or billet, both housings use:
  • Advanced Thermo-Tork® gaskets with excellent oil resistance and a lower deterioration rate than Kevlar gaskets
  • A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
  • 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
Bearings That Rock Your bearings are what keeps everything running smoothly. If your bearings go bad, you’re going to have problems. We don’t want that to happen, so we use roller bearings to hold our idler gear in place. Our output bearing is a double-angular contact bearing—this means it can handle huge loads in any direction without showing premature wear. Our bearings really are built for battle, and they’re just another crucial piece that makes GDP portals the best. Universal Hubs and Slotted Rotors We design these precision-ground, stainless steel slotted rotors to stay cool regardless of how hard you ride. They give you the braking power you need, when you need it. And we include universal hubs, just to make your life a little easier. They have 4/156, 4/137, 4/115, and 4/110 bolt patterns and lugs, letting you run just about any side-by-side wheel out there. We also invented the tapered output shaft that our hubs attach to. It provides a more secure lock that won’t wobble or wear over time. Top-Rated Customer Service Still need a little help getting exactly what you need?
